I know that the general application process begins in the fall with the hopes of attending the UC the following fall semester. However, is it possible to apply in the spring for that upcoming fall semester. For example, can I apply in Spring of 2015 for the Fall of 2016 semester? I won’t have enough credits to transfer by fall, but I will by spring; however, I would obviously like to attend the UC sooner than later. Is this possible or will I have missed the rotation and have to wait until next fall to apply for the fall of 2017?
Thanks in advance!
Er, lets suppose you have 30 semester units. You need to have 60 semester units to actually transfer, but say you have 15 units planned out per semester (in the Fall and Spring). You apply to the UC’s in the Fall with only 30 actual units under your belt, but with planned units that add up to at least 60.
So, if you will have 60+ semester units by the end of this Spring, apply now. You cannot apply in the Spring, but that seems to be a nonissue.
You apply in fall with the proviso all the units will be completed by spring. The units don’t have to be completed by fall.
Both above are correct.
Most people apply in the fall with 30+ units completed, and then complete the required 60 over the next couple of months. How many units do you have now, and how many will you have at the end of Spring 2015?
