Can I apply to a university as a transfer student instead of applying as a high school student?

My grades my Sophomore year were really bad. And by really bad I mean it dropped my cumulative GPA from a 3.6 to a 3.0. Now as a Junior I am just able to keep that 3.0. I want to go to UW seattle, but I don’t think these grades are good enough. I started doing running start this year and I have pretty good grades there. Since my GPA at the college is WAY better than my GPA in high school I was thinking… could I just transfer to a university? You know, since I am technically a student at the community college could I apply as a transfer and give them my community college transcript instead of applying in the fall and giving UW my high school transcript? Could I do both to increase my chances?

You’re supposed to apply as a freshman. The good news is that junior grades matter the most. Good luck!

If you don’t get in you could possibly stay at CC another quarter or two then you could apply as a transfer student. No idea what the acceptance rate for that is though.
