Hi,
I was thinking about applying to Barnard, but my problem is I am not sure whether due to some reasons I will have time to do the subject tests. The website lists SAT II as a requirement for all applicants, but would it be worth applying even without them, considering I have a decent SAT I score (ideally 2200+)? Also, I am an international student, currently following the IB Diploma curriculum and I will be applying for financial aid.

You do not have to submit SAT II scores if you submit the ACT (with writing) instead. If you don’t have time to schedule the SAT II, check this site for possible ACT dates where you live: [Test Center Codes - International | ACT Student](<a href=“ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test”>ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test)

A “requirement” means that they are probably not going to admit you without it – so I wouldn’t advise applying if you don’t have the tests that they insist upon. You would just be throwing away your application. I would imagine that they may waive some requirements in rare circumstances, but given the competitive nature of admissions I think that would happen in only very special or unusual cases.

This seems to be a question better asked of the Admissions Office. No one else can give you a reliable answer.

Thank you @calmom! Sadly I do not have enough time to prepare for the ACT now (I am a senior and I was only preparing for the SAT), but I think I will take SATII in December, as I really really want to go to Barnard :)
