The thing is... I like engineering, but I am aware that I may want to go into math or medicine. So could I apply to NYU and just take the engineering courses at NYU Poly?

bumpppppppppppp

Hi,
You have a few options…

One is the five year dual degree program
[NYU > CAS > Bulletin > 2011 - 2013 > Dual Degree Program in Engineering (with the Polytechnic Institute of NYU)](http://cas.nyu.edu/object/engineering.1113.ug.info)

Another option would be taking the maximum number of classes possible at Poly while continuing to matriculate at NYU CAS. Not sure about when you can start taking classes at Poly, possibly sophomore year.

If you were interested in transferring to Poly, it’s considered an internal transfer. If you were seriously interested in med school, you need to make sure you have the right pre-health courses under your belt before you transfer. (You can probably still take some CAS courses once you transfer.)

thx londonb I am going to do the dual-degree program
