Can I apply to the same school for two years in a row?

Last year I got rejected from all the colleges I applied to, partly because I only chose reach schools, partly because I didn't write a good PS, partly because I had a girlfriend (yeah, I like to blame some of it on her). Anyway, I was thinking of applying to UPenn and others again, because I think I will have a much stronger essay portion and higher test scores. Is it wise to do so?

It’s allowed.

To answer your other question, I don’t really think it’s wise in general. I just don’t think you’re likely to get a different result. I think you need to be a dramatically person from the person you were a year before to change the committee’s mind about you. This is different from being the same person, with a better essay.

But it’s your time and your money.
