Im in love with Penn, so im going to apply for Wharton next year early decision. But if I get rejected, can I apply again for regular decision as CAS?
or if I get deffered, can I change it to be assessed as CAS major? which I think would give me better chance of being admitted at Penn.
opinions?

nope. you can only apply once per year and they don't allow changes halfway. maybe you can send an additional resume if you get deferred but other than that there's nothing you can do.

no you can only apply to one school and if you're rejected, that's it.

Nope. (10 chars)

you're not serious are you?

of course you can't. Also you don't necessarily have a better chance at CAS than at Wharton, they both look for different qualities in their applicants. You should just apply to the school that interests you, not the one where you think you may have a better shot of getting in. An applicant's EC's, essays and rec's may stand out more in the Wharton pool, but may not in the CAS pool, and the same applies vice versa.
