Can I ask for my spot back?

I got into Cornell CAS regular decision in April, and paid my deposit in May, but then decided to go to another school after I got in off the wait list. I sent an email to the college of arts and sciences at as_admissions@cornell.edu. I never got a reply from them but I stopped hearing from them except for a few IT emails, and my guidance counselor told me this meant I was cut off.

However, I’ve been rethinking my college choice and I think I made a mistake turning down Cornell. Would it be possible to call or email them again and beg for my spot back? I think I’ve heard of this happening at other colleges, so I was wondering if I could do it for Cornell.

Just call CAS admissions ask the question directly: 607-255-4833 or 607-255-5004

jun 16…a bit late! i’m afraid your counselor’s correct that they’ve crossed u out. they’ve called up several fr the waiting list to take your place among others already. your best bet…make an appointment & come in w/your parent(s) & let the “adult” make a case for u that u’ve made a bad mistake. even that, u need a lot of lucks here! good luck!
