Can I ask my admission decision earlier?

An international transfer student, I applied to 13 colleges. I am admitted to Mount Holyoke College and I must reply by May 1st deadline. Mount Holyoke is number 3 or 4 on my list. Number one is Amherst and number two is Middlebury. I should receive decisions from these two and all the other schools in Mid-May. I like Mount Holyoke College and the financial aid package it gave me, but my dream schools are Amherst and Middlebury. Will it be okay if I write to Amherst and Middlebury, explain the situation and ask for their decision on me before May 1st? Or how else can I solve this problem? Thanks.

I think you might have better luck asking Mount Holyoke for an extension beyond May1.

You could pay the deposit for MHC, then wait for the other two. They can’t FORCE you to attend; the worst they can do is take your money. (call them to make sure though; this is hwo it works for most schools but there might be exceptions?)
