Can I be rescinded for dropping a non-UC transferable class?

Hypothetically, let's say I'm accepted to the top UCs in April, but I then decide to drop a non-UC transferable class and get a W. Could this get me rescinded? Alternatively, would it be a big deal if I get a C, D, or F instead (even though the class won't transfer and only affects my CC GPA)?

Thanks in advance.

Hypothetically yes.

Most likely no, unless it’s like UCLA then I would just tell them you’re dropping it

It’s highly unlikely. Still, update your application to show that you’ve dropped the class. I think you should be fine.

And UCs don’t care about the grades you earned in nontransferable classes.

The people that know the answer work in admissions at the UCs you are considering. Why not get the answer from the horse’s mouth?
