Can I change my CMU essay after submitting?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I submitted my application about 20 days back. I am wondering is it possible to change my common app essay for CMU? I don't have a really good reason. Its just that my CMU common app essay is quite bad and I have made it much better now. CMU is my dream college and I want to be seen in the best light.</p>

<p>The deadline passed just 2 days back. Do you think its possible? I don't mind paying the application fee again.</p>

<p>I think you could change if you said your original essay had a grammar mistake or some other trivial error. Otherwise, its unlikely that the admissions office will let you change your application. Although recs and additional info can be sent in after the deadline, CMU is really strict about having the common app and supplement on-time.</p>
