I am going to be at college of engineering next year as a freshman. Can I change to college of arts n sciences next year? Can I internal-transfer or I will stick to college of engineering all 4 years at Vandy?

Can I have one major in college of engineering and one in college of arts and sciences?

I have two children at Vanderbilt, one in CAS and one in VUSE. My understanding is that it is very easy to transfer, add a minor or double major. To transfer the only requirement is that you are in good standing. Transfering out of VUSE should not cause any lost time, howevere if you transfer into VUSE too far down the road you would probably be behind in coarse requirements and need either take coarses over the summer or take extra time. It is similar with a double major in two different schools in that you may need to take more credits than can be accomplished in 4 years (depending on how many credits you bring from high school and the requirements of the two majors).

Is it possible to major in chem engineering and econs without any credits from hs?

yes, but it will very difficult and you may want to take a few classes over the summer at Vandy or at a local college because you will have a schedule packed with difficult classes. Transferring to a different college is easy with the exception of Peabody which is difficult to transfer into. If you want to double major in ChemE and Econ, stay in the engineering school because this will probably allow you to avoid many of the axle requirements. If you are in A &S, this double major will be virtually impossible.

Keep in mind if you switch schools, your grants and scholarships could change.

I’m a CV who applied Engineering, but even before the start of the school year, I had already made my mind up that I wished to switch to A&S. They said that my CV scholarship (which has different names for each college/school) would transfer fine.

CV Scholarships are different from specific school sponsored scholarships and grants. Just something to think about/look into.
