So i was dumb and began questioning my pre major after I had submitted My SIR to UCSB. I want to change it from pre finance mathematics and statistics to either economics or economics and accounting. I read something that it is not possible to change it after sending in my SIR. If so, when will be the next chance to change it, or should I not worry about it and just wait until I attend in the fall and take the courses I would need for my ideal major? Thanks
From the UCSB SIR Webpage: See the 3rd bullet point!

Notes:
• If you have been admitted to more than one University of California campus, you may only return one positive SIR.
• If you have decided not to register at UCSB, please log in and complete the SIR indicating your alternate plans.
• If you wish to change your major, follow the instructions on the Major Changes page.
• If you have questions, contact the Office of Admissions at (805) 893-2881.
Wait until orientation since you need to have some required pre-req courses taken and be cleared to change your major.
This.
You can’t be an econ major until you’ve completed the prerequisite courses. Any student at UCSB can sign up for those prereqs. So being listed on the records as pre-econ does not make any difference. When you go to orientation just sign up for a prereq to get the ball rolling.
