I'm still waiting to hear back from SDSU on a decision, and I've been checking my webportal like crazy. I noticed on my webportal my intended major is Journalism and Public Relations. This is not what I chose on my application, I chose Hospitality and Busniness Management. I'm not sure what happened, but if I am to be accepted to SDSU, will I be able to change my major? I know they admit students based on impaction but do you think students are allowed to change their major? I definitely do not want to major in Journalism and PR.

Thank you!!

In my acceptance letter it says “Please note that your admission was based on the major to which you applied. Therefore you cannot change the major during the admission process.” So I think the answer to your question is no :/

Lauren933- when did you get accepted if you don’t mind me asking and what was your major?

I got accepted on December 18 and applied to major in history

My son was accepted mid Dec. in the field of liberal studies. His intended major is electrical engineering! Not sure what this means. I’m assuming EE is an impacted major.

SAT 1920
GPA 4.2
Major Electrical engineering
