So I’m going to be starting high school this year (class of 2019), and I was wondering what are some tips to becoming less lazy about school work. This last stretch of school is really killing me and I just can’t wait to get over it, but I’m so lazy about doing my work, and I have been for a while now. I have big goals, and I know that I WILL NOT be able to achieve them with laziness. Thanks!
“Last stretch” lol 4 years will feel like 4 decades haha. Anyways, do your homework right when you get home not later and DONT get on the computer until you’re done. That seemed to be my biggest flaw freshman year
4 years went by too quickly for me…
Here’s what I suggest:
- Don’t proscrasinate, especially on long assignments. 'Nuff said.
- Make good use of study hour or other free time to get some HW done so that you'll have less at home. Of course, don't spend *all* of it on HW - be social, enjoy HS.
- Limit TV, video games, etc. to a certain amount or only after finishing HW.
Most nights I spent less than 1 or 1.5 hours on HW, as I was able to finish a good amount during study hour or class.
