The first two times I took the SAT I did poorly. However, the third time I took it my score increased 300 points by studying. On College Boards website I see there is something called score choice. How does this work? Are scores automatically put onto my high school transcript? And do some colleges require I send all my scores while others will let me send what I want? Finally if a school sees all my scores and notices I got a 2000 but with two 1700's is that going to look bad and not make my 2100 look as good?
Thanks

It depends on the college. For those colleges that honor CB’s score choice, you can choose which tests to submit by date (but not section).

@ribbonroad224 Thank you for the link it was very useful. If the schools I am interested in are all in the “single highest test date -version 2” section does this mean I can use score choice and pick my top score only? I’m under the impression that the only section in the link that requires you to send all scores is the one that says "all SAT scores required?

Yup, you can refrain from sending test scores from certain dates if your prospective colleges don’t require them.
Also keep in mind that this data is only accurate as of 08/31/2012. Maybe check the websites of the colleges in question in case their policies have changed? (Unlikely, but still a possibility haha).
