Can I compensate for my average ACT's and SAT's with everything else??

<p>Now entering my senior year of HS, Davidson College is my top college choice. However, I have average scores.
SAT: 1720
CR: 570
Math: 600
Writing: 550
Essay: 8</p>

<p>ACT: 27
English:27
Math:25
Essay: 10</p>

<p>Weighted GPA: 4.17
Unweighted: 3.97</p>

<p>Would everything else I have to offer maybe help give me somewhat of a chance? Or is this dream just unreasonable?</p>

<p>I can add anything else you want to know but I would really appreciate it if I could have some input.</p>

<p>It sounds like swimming could be your “hook” to getting in. Have you been in touch with the swimming coach?</p>

<p>I have tried , but never got a reply back. Also the team switched to a much more competitive conference … So I say my chances of being recruited are slim unfortunately. </p>

<p>I fear it’s a very big reach. Have you considered test-optional Wake Forest? Less selective but still strong schools like Sewanee, Centre, or Elon? What is it about Davidson that makes it your top choice?</p>
