Can I do ED at another college during my waiting period before starting spring semester?

I am an international student from France, admitted to a good college, starting this spring semester. Though this is not my dream school, I decided to accept the offer. However, in the past months, I could not put out of my mind the idea of trying one more time, doing ED for my dream school. I will get the ED decision December, far before the start of spring semester. Now I wonder, would the school that admitted me, accept a withdrawal if I got accepted into my dream school? If my dream school would reject me, could the school that admitted me know that I applied ED elsewhere during my semester off? What could be their reaction?

I think you could probably do it. I’d carefully read your arrangement with the college you would turn down for the ED school. Make sure you can withdraw without a significant financial penalty before the semester starts. You likely would lose any deposit you had made (assuming they took one).

Thank you for sharing your point of view. Indeed they took a deposit, losing the deposit would be acceptable for me. I cannot find anything in their handbook, nor in the agreements about spring semester students applying elsewhere during their waiting time. But I am not completely sure, could have overlooked something…
