<p>I got 4 Bs in AP courses on my mid-term report. What really bothers me is that I could get an A in two of those courses. Anyway, because my transcript shows the average of each semester, colleges won't see my grades in third term. But, can I get As in the third term (that ends on Feb. 23rd) and send the report card to colleges, although the grades won't appear on the transcript? I can tell them that I am improving academically.</p>
<p>If you're applying Regular Decision, there would be no harm in sending the update in February. While some colleges may have made the decision on your application by then, most will still be reading applications. Seeing the rise in your grades may make the difference between getting in and being wait-listed, so I would definitely send them immediately if, indeed, you do see the grade increase you expect.</p>
