Can I do this?

I don't want to send my AP exam scores to PSU although I will have received 5's on most of them. Will PSU look down on this? My reasoning behind this is that I don't want the AP credit. Instead, I wish to retake the classes at PSU because I feel that I have forgotten a lot of physics/chem/calc which are really important for an aerospace engineer. Will PSU think that I have taken the classes just so that it would look good on the application since they will never get a score report from me.

No, they don't care. They want you to take over the classes in your major anyway. If you did take any humanities you might want to consider using those to get out of some requirements. It's nice to have the option of taking less credits when you have other tough classes.

If you don't plan on taking any more chem you might consider using the 5 on Chem. It's worth 8 credits and really opens up your schedule.

If we send in our AP scores, can we choose which subject to accept the credit in?

You should call someone about that, although I doubt it but you could probably take the class anyway. My son got the letter telling him what APs he got credit for and how many credits he had received total. As far as signing up for classes, you do it on your own, I do not think they care if you take a class you do not technically need.

Yes, you can choose. My son was really happy to not have to take many of the humanities courses but he retook a couple major courses.
