So excited to receive offers from UCLA and UCSD. I'm currently taking 14 units of class, and one is a required class for UCSB, but not UCLA and UCSD. Since I'm rejected by them, I'm thinking about dropping this class. But that would make me below unit. Not sure if that means "not be in good standing". I'm an international student and is required to have at least 12 units per semester.

You have to report it if you drop it. If you’re going below unit, don’t drop. Since you’re an international student, the 12 units is there to keep your full time student status, and it is required to keep your immigration status valid unless you talk to your counselor. I wouldn’t count on exceptions unless you have a valid reason.

Thanks for your reply! Looks like I’m in big trouble now, because right now I kinda have to drop it. It’s only required by my backup schools so I didn’t really put much effort in it. Just sent email to the admission office, hopefully they are cool on that.
