Can I ED UPenn and EA other colleges?

I am keen on applying ED to UPenn, but I was wondering if I can still apply EA to other places. The UPenn Admissions website does not explicitly say that you can't EA other places if you apply to UPenn ED. Thanks in advance for your help.

I doubt it as I understand it but who knows

You can apply EA to places like Chicago and MIT. Yale and Stanford don’t allow you to apply EA or ED elsewhere. Places like Georgetown, BC, and Notre Dame don’t allow you to apply ED elsewhere. Penn has no restrictions.

I believe you can, as long as it’s not SCEA

Venkat89 has it exactly right. Penn only cares that you aren’t applying anywhere else with a binding program, so you wouldn’t be violating any Penn rule. The EA schools essentially have three different sets of rules, two of which prohibit applying there simultaneously with a Penn ED application, and the third of which doesn’t. The third category includes Chicago, MIT, Cal Tech, and Tulane, and I’m sure others as well. You can also apply ED to Penn and apply as early as you want to any rolling admissions college, including lots of state universities and Wake Forest.

You can also apply to Michigan “Early Response” while applying ED to Penn.
