Can I even apply to a UC?

I got a D in AP Statistics last semester, but I have all A's in every other class (5/7 of them are AP courses). I only got the D because I toke the class online, WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Despite this, I already meet the 3 year requirement for the mathematics portion on the A-G requirements because I toke geometry, Algebra II, and pre-calculus. Am I still eligible to apply to a UC? Such as Berkeley or even Santa Barbara? Or would I not even be considered at all due to my failing grade?

Yes, you can apply, but the D will affect your GPA (calculated the UC way, it needs to be at least 3.0 in-state or 3.4 out-of-state, though most UCs are much more selective than that) and disqualify that course from meeting the a-g requirements (although you have the math portion fulfilled already).

@ucbalumnus‌, thank you so much for answering my question!
