I know this is really vague and hard to go off of, but I would really appreciate feedback.

Yeah, you are a very solid applicant! Cal is more of a stretch, because with schools that prestigious it is often a bit of gamble-- if you qualify there are one hundred other applicants who qualify too. UC San Diego is also very prestigious, but you have great grades, and show that you are well rounded. Good luck!

Thanks for the response!! Is there anything I can do senior to boost my chances tho?

Best thing you can do over the summer is study for the SAT and take it one more time.

You’re definitely in for UCSD! I think your chances at Cal are also really good, especially since they’re HUGE on GPA and since your EC’s look very impressive. If you boost your SAT score a bit you’ll be in for sure. The secret is to practice.

For me, prep classes didn’t work at all. What I did was work on the Big Blue Book an hour every day for 2 weeks preceding the test. Make sure you learn how to read QUICKLY while picking up key ideas. Also, make sure you read the question and answer it yourself before looking at the choices! As for the writing section, try to keep your examples fairly unorthodox and (correctly) incorporate some fancy vocab words. Finally, you absolutely must get good sleep for at least a week leading up to it. Do not underestimate its importance. I love to spend my time on tests, so the SAT was quite difficult at first. However, with practice I genuinely got the jist of it. I jumped from a 2070 to a 2270, so don’t lose hope!

Of Course. Your Grades & Extracurricular Activities speak for themselves. With Grades like those you have a great chance being accepted to most if not all CSU & UCs possibly even the prestigious private universities. As long as you maintain those high marks, the sky is the limit. Good Luck in your future bro.
