i'm asking my english teacher, counselor, AP Chem, and AP bio
MY AP Chem teacher is well-know for excellent rec letter

I live near Berkeley and hope to get in
Also, since i'm considered international, going to private and public won't
make much difference in tuition fees.

I'm interested in majoring chemistry, or biochemistry
and attend med school in future

can you tell me if i even have any chance of getting into those schools?

You're an international - technically not a california resident? You don't need recs for UCs.
Berkeley and LA are probably reaches considering your SAT score and international status.

You need to add more safeties. Your score is too low for UCs and they discount SAT scores. Last year, I think I remember one girl with similar SAT got into UCLA.

If you were a cali resident you would need LOTs of luck for cal or LA. Although one kid had a 3.6W schoool GPA and got in some how. But his SAT's were high 1900's i think. Get safties.

^That's just one case isn't it? I don't think SAT are that negligible for the UCs. For LA and Berkeley the 50th percentile is like 2020-2050. True, there are lower scores that get in, but those are rare chances that don't happen frequently..

Obviously, the UCs do place more emphasis on GPA, but the SAT is still a factor of consideration.
