can I file FAFSA more than once?

If I need to file fafsa now for a couple of school deadlines (2/1)? can I then go back (with
more accurate information) and file for the rest of my son's school applications?
Also, same question for CSS profile =

No you should not file more than one FAFSA in a school year as the 2nd will be deleted. What you do is go back to the FAFSA you have filed and make any corrections (income information can be corrected if estimates were used, asset information is suppossed to be accurate on the day you first file) and add or change schools.

I submitted two applications for the same year. What will happen?

We use only the first application we receive. All other applications are deleted from our system.

To make corrections to your application, view your Student Aid Report (SAR). You will receive it either by e-mail or by mail. The SAR includes instructions for making corrections.

Don't know how CSS works.

You can't file more than 1 FAFSA. It is keyed to your SS#. You update the FAFSA you have filed, and the schools will get the updated FAFSA.

With CSS, their instructions say to copy the printed form (so make sure you print it when you file it), and mark it up with the corrected information. Then mail it to the school. What a scam: $25 to ask a few more questions than the FAFSA.
