Can I get 2 scholarships from USC?

I am a National Merit Finalist, which qualifies me for a half ride from USC. Unfortunately, this isn't enough for me to be able to afford the school. I have already been rejected for the top tier of scholarships, but is it possible for me to receive an additional quarter ride from USC?

No, sorry it is not. The larger scholarships don’t stack. That includes the 1/4 Dean’s Scholarship. My son did, however, get a $2500 University scholarship and the $1000 NMF scholarship in addition to the Presidential so it makes it a little easier to manage.

Did you apply for financial aid? A NMScholar who has been admitted will receive the $1000 per year NMFoundation Scholarship and MAY receive a smaller scholarship from the school. This can be more than $2500. Sometimes an admitted student may qualify for a special scholarship from the particularly school such as a memorial, alumna/alumnus or heritage. Wait until the entire financial package is sent to you in writing before making a decision to commit. A student has until the end of April to study all aid and scholarship packages.

Have you applied for local scholarships?

Yes, I’ve applied for financial aid and other scholarships as well. I guess I’ll just have to wait until April to see what they offer me.

Spelling correction…
from the particular school.

Agree with GA Girl; you can stack the 50% tuition merit with the two merit ones she mentioned; engineering is one that does provide such extra smaller awards. Some students also get FAid as well.
