University of Florida
UCF
Tulane
Florida State
Emory
Washington University St-Louis
Rice
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
New College of Florida
University of Southern Cal.

Thanks!

your RANK and GPA might pull you down abit.
You might want to retake your SAT I. Also, what about SAT IIs?

I'm taking SAT II's in Nov (Probably US History and Literature)
And retook the SAT's last Saturday after intense prep, so hopefully they've gone up significantly.

University of Florida-slight reach (but maybe not)
UCF-In for sure, I know its rolling so get that app in! lol
Tulane-In
Florida State-In sure sure
Emory-slight reach
Washington University St-Louis-reach, I believe.

I don't know about the others enough to tell you..

what are you guys talking about? your gpa and class ranks are good enough to get you into any of those schools. your sats are good enough to get into most of those schools except maybe vanderbilt, emory, and rice. the only problem with your application is your extra curriculars. you had a couple of leadership roles but not that signficant. you have to be different. and no offense but the basketball club is not really a sport. the thing is you are asian which makes it harder to get into college, so you have to be different from other asians. if every asian is good at school, then you have to too, and then do sports and things that not alot of other asians do. because only then are you unique for that school and that class. but you should be in in everyone of those colleges.

By the way, our school only reports class ranks as a percentage. So the college will get that I'm in Top 5%, but won't get that 36/670 number, my guidance counselor just gave it to me because I was curious.

I've already applied to UCF, UF, Tulane and FSU, and aren't really at all worried about them.

Derrick- In retrospect, what you said makes a lot of sense. But as its, senior year, its a bit too late to start anything drastic. I kind of wish I had've been imaginative and done some interesting extracirruclars, but oh well, there's always college for that.

Side note- I've just actually realized that through Young Democrats, we have worked with the Obama campaign volunteering every week at our democrat headquarters in my county trying to get people out to vote.

So maybe I could include that as well, not something EVERYBODY does, and pretty interesting. Could be an interesting essay topic.

Anyway, thanks for the input guys.
