Can I get a full ride?

I really don't care too much about prestige, I just don't really want to pay much for college. I know there are many colleges that will give me full tuition based on that huge thread, but I want to know if I can get a full ride to any decent colleges. I currently live in Georgia, and I think I may qualify for financial aid, but not too much of it. Also, I am from the Middle East, but I think they count that as white (not too sure).

Stats
4.58 GPA
3.98 UW GPA
33 ACT
1/580 Rank

Extracurriculars... Not too much going on here, play competitive soccer team ranked 40 in nation so we have tons of practice)
-Soccer team all 4 years
-I think that's it

“Can” means “able”’. What you consider “decent” is an issue. If nothing on that list appeals to you, then you enter the lottery like everyone else and see who picks your tickets for a full tuition or free ride. Talk to your counselor about what you can expect from the Georgia state awards like Hope and there is some other program that starts with a “z”.

“Full ride” generally denotes tuition/fees/room/board. Full tuition is easier to come by.

Your stats would qualify you for full tuition at any state school in Georgia.

Did you not like the answers for your (same) post 1.5 months ago?

Would you be an international applicant or did you mean to say you are of Middle Eastern ethnicity?

I am not sure what you are talking about as this is my first ever thread on CC. My friend is named Turbo-seller so maybe you are getting me confused. Yes, I meant to say I am ethnically Middle Eastern. I was born in the US

And thanks BobWallace, I have thought about going to Georgia state. With Zell Miller I would still be paying 11k a year.

With your ACT, GA state may throw in some merit.

Then you are using someone CC else’s identity (against the rules) and that someone else has your identical stats and EC? Your user history, which anyone can access, shows you started a thread on this subject in February. What is the point in saying you didn’t? That sort of thing doesn’t encourage anyone here to help you.

MommaJ is right. This user name has a history of posts.

Turboseller, there are a lot of colleges listed that have guaranteed free rides for certain stats that Bobwallace put together. When it comes to a guarantee, that’s about it. But there are many schools where someone with your stats would have a shot at some of the top awards. But you have to apply for them just as you would have to apply for a seat at HPY. And getting a full ride at many of those schools is even more difficult than getting accepted to the most selective colleges. So you takes your chances and see how it works out. The higher a school is rated, with more name recognition and reputation, the more difficult as a rule, it is to get hefty merit money. The ivies don’t give any merit money. So you can look up schools on your list and gauge what your chances are by what the accepted student pool looks like in terms of stats and where you are in that pool and what you have to offer the school in terms of something different and/or special. You can see that Duke’s award is going to be tougher to get than Emory Scholars which has a number of these awards and with the Zell Miller, you might be able to get close to or a full award there. Would you you be in contention for the Morehead at UNC/Ch? These are some of the more prestigious full ride type awards. But other schools have full rides too, and you have to look and see which schools interest you.
