Can I get Accepted to ASU?

Hello this is my first post. Here we go. In 9th I was the person to screw around and not do much I barely passed my classes and started off with a 71 gpa. In my tenth grade year I had to leave school because I developed cancer in my knee which stopped me from going to school for a year. When I came back I got to finish up the second half on my 10th grade year with 80s and 90s. I just finished my 11th grade year with a lot of 80s and 90s now my gpa is a 80-81. I want to go to arizona state university but I feel that because of my grades they'll reject me. When I took a practice SAT I got 1300 and it made me lose a lot of hope. I'm going to 12th grade now no I'm going to take the sat and shoot for a 1400-1600 and apply. It says on their website that an out of state student needs a 2.5 minimum. I know I can make it but I don't think they'll consider my gpa in the twelfth grade. Can anyone give me some advice? Can I make it?

Also it doesn't specify that they want an essay, or recommendation letter but can I still send them to let them know what I was going through and that I'm determined now?

I’m sure their deadline app date would allow you to include your 1st semester Sr year grades.

They don’t specify essay or rec letter b/c they don’t evaluate those, whatsoever. It’s all based on grades and test scores.

Worse case scenario, you go to community college for one year, readying yourself to transfer (assuming you do very well in comm college).

Good luck to you.
