<p>Try to keep it to 600 words if you can... they'll definitely notice 200 extra words, but you can get away with 100+</p>

<p>Even if you have extremely good ideas, if someone else manages to have as great ideas as you do but manage to put it in say, 540 words, adcoms may feel that the other person is essentially a better writer for their efficiency.</p>
