According to Admission, College of Arts and Science Bulletin | NYU I need a 700 or higher on SAT 2 in Chinese to be exempted. The problem is the Chinese SAT 2 is only given in november and by next november, i will already be in college.
Is it possible to push back my foreign language requirement another year then take the Chinese SAT 2 in the november of college freshmen year to get exempt?
Also does NYU allow SAT 2 scores taken while in college?

Most colleges have placement exams for foreign languages. If you place high enough you most likely will not have to take foreign language in college

During the summer orientation sessions, NYU offers language placement exams (which are usually just old SAT 2s), and the placement exams are offered throughout the academic year as well. If I recall correctly, the chinese exam may also include a timed essay. You don’t have to start your foreign language requirement as soon as you start school, it just needs to be completed before you finish your degree.
