<p>Im going to take a class at a university near my high school and was wondering if I could get financial aid as the class might cost me ~$400. I do get free lunch. Might there be a way to reduce the cost of the class?</p>
<p>College financial aid is only offered for courses where you are a matriculated student pursuing a college degree.</p>
<p>As a high school student taking college courses, you would not be eligible for college based need based aid, i believe. However, DO speak to someone at your high school, and at the local college. They might have an arrangement for high school students who are taking college courses. Worth asking.</p>
<p>Since you will not be enrolled in a degree you are not eligible for financial aid. However other scholarships may be available.</p>
<p>Does your school offer dual enrollment?</p>
<p>Yes, my school does offer DE. But im not sure if they will pay for it because I have a full schedule (five APs). Ill talk to my counselor and to the principle.</p>
