ok. sats 2300, lots of piano awards, mostly from competitions in the city and some provincial/national competitions, Royal Conservatory graduate, soloist for international concerts, student council executive member, executive member of school charity organization as well. lots of volunteer work and everything associated with that. taking all the hardest courses at school, but my school is an art school and doesnt offer AP, IB or gifted. doing night school as well. Average of 97. i really want to get into the college at Penn. Any advice? Can I make the fact that I go to an art school a selling point? By the way, does Penn like lots of essays and recommendation letters from an applicant? thanks a lot

uh what do you want to major in at Penn? Penn likes two really good essays, one of them being why you pine for it so much lol and also it asks for two recomendations, but a third could get through as well ONLY if it's very diverse and reveals another facet of you.

For example, the two required recommendations should be from academic teachers, but since you are so into music and whatnot, allow your sight-singing teacher, who loves you a lot, to write your extra rec.
