do i stand even a minimal chance????

Minimal? Yes. I'd bump it up to possible. But probable (aka match)? Not so much. Still, there have been people with worse grades that got in (white girl with 2.9 and a 1500/2400 for instance), so don't rule yourself out yet.

ok thanks.....what percentage constitutes match??
so what percent wise chance do i hold?
i just love ucla :(

Low GPA? I would say slight reach

You went to the infamous Monta Vista, I presume?

unfortunately..yess....how did u know?
thats why my gpa is on lower side..does this help my chances going to super competitive school?
i mean people come back from college and say college is a breeze...compared to highschool.....

i got 4-5's on ap classes i got low B's in...my school is too hard!

Wow how'd you figure out the school from nothing?

Anyways, can I get some more info on the white girl who got in with a 1500 and a 2.9? Does anyone know the circumstances? Essays?

i want to know...id the 2.9/1500 had good essays or urm or what?

How did I figure it out? well.. first, your sn and the fact that you mentioned your school is in the top 5 for state. I also recently just read the US news top high schools edition.

US News Top High Schools? Are you serious? God damn, **** that pos scummy corporation, now that's just ridiculous..

i hate going to such a nerdy school...too competettive....ruin my gpa....and chances for ucla :(

i heard that the criteria for ranking HS is by the number and % of students in AP classes. Because my teacher was recently saying how some school a few miles from us is on that list (some list, not sure which) because AP classes are the only classes available so it's a 100% AP school, however the pass rate is only 20%.

yeh...true..its based on availability....not passing rate
but at our school is crazy
90% pass with a 3 or higher!

the ap test is a joke compared to our school tests..ex
u can get um....75% on school exam that is based off old ap's test...and u just got a c on the test.......but 75% would be a 5 most likely on real ap test!!!!!

I'm talking about falsified in the context of how extremely difficult it is to get an A. The comparision between the grades from a regular public school and the grades from Monta Vista are drastically different, yet colleges won't take much into the account of the difficulty between them. Sorry if you misinterpreted it differently, I'm reading my post again and I see what you mean.
