can i get in to anything

im in the beginnging of my third marking period of my junior year, is there any way that i can raise my gpa up by the time i apply to colleges in my senior year. right now it's 2.4

Unless you have an excellent excuse (you were new to the US and didn’t speak much English, your parents were fatally ill, you were working a full-time job to support your otherwise indigent family), you are probably looking at a year or two of community college to demonstrate that you have the commitment that it takes. That’s not a terrible fate: Many community colleges are wonderful and offer second chances to people who were a little slower at maturing. The more important question is whether whatever was holding you back has been resolved, and you can prove it with your grades in junior and senior year. Don’t give up: Just realize it may take a little longer to realize prove yourself. Some work experience might also be valuable in helping you figure out what kind of education is worth investing your time in. Talk to a guidence counselor at your school.

I would take M’s moms advice and talk to a guidance counselor. try really really hard this last semester of your junior year and you could bring your GPA up. you shouldn’t rule out college all together and go straight to community college. i would apply to a state school if i were you. kick ass on the rest of your application! good luck

bbhswr, excellent advice by M’s Mom. If you want you can also punch in your info on college board and it will give you a list of 4 year schools to possibly look into. Good luck!
