I am currently a junior in high school and wanted to know what I could do to increase my chances or if I had any chance at all of getting accepted in to Clemson. I haven’t recieved my test scores back but am usually a good test taker. My gpa from freshman/sophomore year is 3.4 (unweighted) 3.7 (weighted). I didn’t take any AP’s but took several honors. I am taking 3 AP’s now and 3 honors courses. I have tons of community service, varsity cheer, student council, a job, and key club. What do I need to do
@clairedavidson Check on their common set data and see what scores etc they typically admit. Clemson looks at GPA, test scores, class rank and course rigor. They do not really look at extracurriculars. You can also call the college ad major department you’re interested in and see how you stack up against other applicants in that major. That is who you will be competing against since you apply directly into a major. Also, in state or out of state makes a difference too.
Just did the Clemson tour. Test scores and class rank (with their knowing which nc sc and ga schools are ultra competitive) and gpa average weighted are their criteria. Nursing communications business are more competitive than that.
Please take an SAT or act class. You should get in with a 31 or higher on the ACT. Better chance at 33 or 34. Which is very hard. Good luck with your process
DOn’t worry about ECs, just do what you are interested in. Clemson doesn’t care about them. Take hard classes and do well but most importantly, practice for SAT/ACT.
