Can I Get In (Transfer) to Georgetown?

I applied to Georgetown in high school and was put on the waitlist.
I graduated my private, Catholic high school summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA.
I had a 32 ACT superscore.
I was an AP Scholar and HIGHLY involved in high school with all leadership roles.

I am now a freshman at George Washington University (GW) and had a rough first semester.
I have a 3.0 GPA because of bad advising and ended up in harder classes than I should be taking.
I am still very involved at GW and have even gained leadership roles in many of my activities.
My midyear grades will show straight A's (4.0 for second semester, 3.5 overall GPA).

What are my chances of being accepted as a transfer to Georgetown?

my guess is you should apply in another year when your stats are higher. the 3.0 will kill your application…if you have a 3.66 next year assuming 4.0 this spring/next fall you should have a chance…there’s stats on the g-town website google “g-town transfer profile” avg. accepted has a 3.8

I believe it’s harder to transfer into Georgetown than it is to be accepted as a freshman due to the increased competition and limited space.
