Right now, I'm a recently started junior at North Hollywood HS. My grades in freshman year were straight A's with one B first semester and straight A's second semester. Starting sophomore year, everything starting falling. First semester: 4 B's, 2 A's. Second semester: 2 C's, 1 B, 3 A's. (I had AP World History freshman year. I had AP Physics C, AP Calculus AB, AP European History sophomore year). With these grades, what are my chances?
(For extracurriculars, I volunteer every Saturday, I'm a part of three clubs and President of one of them. I play the viola and the piano. I can speak Korean, Spanish, and I'm learning ASL)
I'd like to study linguistics but I'm not confident that I can go anywhere with these grades....

There are many schools that you can get into, it just depends on how high you are aiming? You still have Junior year to turn around that downward trend. You took 3 challenging AP courses, so it is understandable your grades were not up to par last year and class rigor is important in the college admissions. What is your schedule like this year? You need to really work on getting those grades up this year. Continue doing your EC’s and really study for the SAT/ACT. You can make a comeback. Good Luck.

The classes I have this year are AP US History, AP English Language, H Spanish 3, AP Psychology, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus BC. And thanks
