-2.7/4.0 UW GPA, 3.7/4.0 UW 2011-12 mid year grades
-very strong trend of improvement reflected in school statement, grades received as of late, teacher recommendations (quite strong)
-SAT: 670M 620CR 580W
-current schedule: two AP's, other core classes, independent study architectural design (sending portfolio)
-EC's: four year three sport athlete, lacrosse captain
-Clubs: four year member of five plus clubs and organizations, chinese club vice president
-over 600 hours of community service
-Essays: personal statement about how rock climbing led to maturity/growth/commitment; why tulane essay very very specific, clearly demonstrates why I feel tulane is a perfect academic and social fit and how it is without a doubt my top choice

<p>I'm not really expecting to get in at this moment. If rejected I am still committed and will try to transfer as soon as possible. If someone could chance me it would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Well, since the apps are in and now it is just a waiting game, any opinion here really has even less impact than other (also relatively worthless) chance posts. Not trying to be snarky, I know you are just anxious and nervous. totally understandable. But your app is particularly hard to predict anyway, since your GPA is pretty low for Tulane but you have an upward trend. Might be too little too late, but who knows. Strong athletics and EC’s so that certainly helps, along with your high interest in Tulane.</p>

<p>I like your attitude about potentially spending a year showing you can do university level work elsewhere, then transferring. Sounds like a strong Plan B.</p>
