Your gpa is high enough and your ecs look fine, but your sat is way to low. So based on those stats i think you will not be accepted to main, but a satellite campus instead. My suggestion to you is to try the act. I took the sat and scored a 1710. I took the act and got a 28 (appx an 1880). If you can get a 27+ act or a 1800+ sat, i think youre in good shape. Taking TIMED, FULL practice test are a good way to help improve your scores.

Don’t worry you will get in. Penn State should be getting less competitive as each year passes by(due to various factors). This year applications were down 9%. People were getting accepted with 1650 SAT, 3.3 GPA. Next, year 1600 and 3.1 should be good enough. Before everyone starts hating on me, wait until you see the average SAT and GPA for the freshman class of 2013.

I wouldn’t take one year as indicative of a long- term trend. Last year was one of the highest numbers of apps ever. So it’s understandable it would go down the next year. Time will tell whether that’s an actual trend.
