<p>NEVER, EVER, ask that question. Of course you can. The question you should be asking is not "Can I get in?", rather "How likely?". I think it's quite likely.</p>

<p>I assume the OP would like to be closer to home. I don't think prestige plays a role because Emory's English department is a lot better.</p>

<p>vtoodler, I think you have a good shot at WUStL. They accept Spring transfers as well, so if you don't get in this try, you can reapply after another semester at Emory.</p>
