Can I get in?

<p>Hello! I'm a Caucasian Male from Florida, and I really hope that I am able to get in and that it is financially feasible.</p>

<p>Stats:
GPA: 4.52 weighted and 3.92 un-weighted
Currently ranked #2 in my class of 352
SAT: 2110 Superscore [640 CR] [730 M] [740 W]</p>

<p>Past AP Classes:
AP World History(5)
AP Psychology (4)
AP English Language (4)
AP US History (3)
AP Biology (3)</p>

<p>Senior Year APs:
AP Calculus AB
AP English Literature
AP Microeconomics
AP Government and Politics</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>Coach for a local Youth Baseball team (ages 12-15), and I had played in that league since tee-ball, and on the same team for about 7 years
National Honor Society (10th-12th, member)
Interact Volunteering Club (10th-12th, member)
English Honor Society (11th-12th, member)
History Honor Society (11th-12th, member)
Spanish Honor Society (10th-11th, member)
Volunteer at my old Elementary school for my 4th and 5th grade teacher
Volunteer with the local soup kitchen via my church</p>

<p>Also, I have my Microsoft Certifications in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint</p>

<p>Will I be able to get in? Will the recent unveiling of the SAT score reporting have any immediate effects on this year's admits?</p>

<p>Yes, you could get in (based on stats) and no, that won’t have any affect. Those were numbers of enrolled students that were misreported. The admit numbers are correct and of course the bar is higher for admits. However, you are basically in the middle of the admit pool. I suppose it would be nice if you had more leadership positions, but I don’t know, I’m not an admissions officer. Also, I question if they’ll be impressed with all the honor society memberships. That’s kind of expected or taken for granted with anyone with a high GPA. Maybe it will be good enough for Emory, but I don’t know about the other elites.</p>
