*Despite the wide belief that African Americans are athletic, I am not. So, I was the "equipment manager" for different teams every year of high school. But I did tennis for about 5 weeks over the summer once. </p>

<p>Again, the question is, do I have a chance of getting into Georgia Institute of Technology studying either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics or Applied Mathematics? </p>

<p>You do have the advantage of being a girl and black. However, I’m going to be blunt and say your SAT and GPA reguardless of weight is much too low. </p>

<p>Being a URM only gets you so far, unfortunately for Ga tech, i would say 2000+ SAT for URMs, and everyone else needs 2100+. GPA is same story 90+ average / 3.8 + UW/</p>

<p>I would say being URM and black do does help you in some way, but GA tech does put a heavy emphasis on test scores and GPA. I think it’s gonna be a low reach to semi reach to you. I would recommend you to apply to more schools.</p>
