I have a 2.3 gpa (I know it’s bad, I slacked off horribly my first 2 years of high school and am trying very hard to turn it around) and I have a 1690 gpa (math+ critical reading is a 1150) high point is my dream school I want to get in sosososososo badly
also I plan on applying early decision
Well, the GPA puts you in the bottom 20th percentile of their admitted students, but on the other hand your SATs are a little above their average, and they do admit about 90% of early decision applicants so it seems you have a decent shot at it, especially if you can show your grades are improving now. good luck
Definitely work on getting your GPA and SAT up. If you’re able to do so, then I think you have a chance. Are you taking a lot of rigorous classes (APs, honors, etc.)? Since you’re improving your grades and GPA now, that will definitely help. Make sure that you have enough ECs to help for the low GPA. Applying ED will definitely help boost your chances of getting in.If you’re able to do all of this, then I think you’re chances will be increased by a lot. Good luck!
@krgr197 did you get in HPU?
If you don’t need financial aid, you will get in. You might be deferred first, but they will let you in.
