Hi!! I'm a junior in high school (class of 07) and I'm thinking of applying to Elon so I was wondering what y'all think my chances are of getting in. I'm out of state (Georgia) and go to a small, private school that is very competitive. I have a 3.4 unweighted GPA and have taken at least 3 honors classes a year. I got a 1260 SAT without the writing section and a 1910 with it. I have been on the varsity cheerleading squads every year and was the captain of the basketball squad last year and will be the captain of the football squad this year. I have also played on the varsity soccer team every year. I am a member of habitat for humanity, fellowship of christian athletes, and on the yearbook staff. Do y'all think that I have a good chance of getting in? Oh and I don't know if it matters or not, but I'm also looking at College of Charleston, Auburn University, and the University of Georgia. Thanks for the input!!

i do believe you have a good chance because you seem to have a very balanced high school career at this point
the only thing that would give me some doubt is that lately elon has been trying to boost it's stats, so if your weighted gpa is significantly better than others(which i suspect based on your honors classes you've been taking) you would have an even better chance. while your sat's are solid, elon is also getting applicants with higher sat's and similar gpa's
it's definitely within your reach, especially with a solid senior essay and a couple of rec's. hope i was helpful

Thanks for the help!!
