Can I get in?

I have a 3.2 weighted GPA, I took dual enrollment classes and planning on taking to AP classes my senior year. My SAT score is a 1010 and thats the first time I took it, because of COVID I couldnt take it again. Can I get into UM Ann Arbor?

First, are you in-state or out-of-state? There is no telling whether any specific person can get in or not … but the average SAT score for UMich Ann Arbor is in the mid-1400s if I remember correctly, and the people I know that got in had GPAs over 3.5. I would never say not to apply and I don’t think anyone here would say not to either, but make sure that you apply to a wide range of schools, some of which may have lower admission standards. The entire college admissions process is ambiguous, so don’t take anything to heart. Good luck!

A good resource to look at whether your GPA and test scores are in range for a school is their Common Data Set. If you look at the latest Common Data Set for the University of Michigan, unfortunately your GPA and SAT score are well below the profile of admitted freshman.

It will be tough but its always worth a shot . Have strong essays and ECs but it is a reach school for you.
There is always the transfer option if you can prove yourself.
