Standardized test scores
ACT 23
I know I did horrible on the ACT, I take a long time to do things, but I will retake them to try and do better. If my score were a huge factor, what would I need to raise it up to?

Thanks for your advice

Impossible. You worked too hard.

Next time, you might want to avoid abbreviating this class ;) Yes, I'm immature :(

Stats wise though, I think if you can get your ACT up, you're in. UW's not too hard to get into, but your ACT doesn't match up with your GPA at all. Maybe try the SAT?

Ya I know what you mean, it really doesnt match up, but I'm not lying about my GPA. I do well because I devote so much time into studying. Evan the SAT, I did not do well on it either. I'm going to retake the ACT and I hope I do better.

First of all, what grade are you in. If you have time, i would consider studying for the SAT's and get around 2000/2400. Or raise that ACT to a 28. Then you are definetly in. Without a better test score... there is no chance... (maybe if you get extremely lucky -_-). Alot of people i know got accepted to the U.W, so i would know.

Well, if you have an even slightly rigourous schedule, you stand a good chance of getting in with a 3.97 UW GPA. Your test score isnt amazing but you are close to being in the middle 50% (you scored better than ~25% of those who got in) on your ACT. I assume you are an in-state applicant, as you took a UW in the high school program. I would raise your score if you want to be more confident in your chances of getting into UW, but I think you stand somewhat of a chance as is. With your GPA, I would estimate that you could raise your ACT to at least a 27 quite easily. SAT might also help, probably about an 1800-2000, or more if you can pull it off. If you could get those scores, I think UW would be at least a match, probably a safe match.

You're in -- UW puts too much of a value on GPA :)

You can get into UW with a 3.3 if your test scores are even slightly decent.

yeah forreals son. 3.3 with 1850 and 28 ACT

if you can raise your act to around 25-27, you're in for sure. i got in to UW 2 years ago with a HS GPA 3.3, 1250 SAT, and 27 ACT; i was OOS.
