<p>school doesnt give enough credit towards rank for taking ap or all honors courses so there is kids with 1 or 2 honors and the rest second track ahead of me </p>

at least it doesnt hurt like asians</p>

<p>Your school must love grade inflation! I mean that GPA is a lot better than mine was, yet your rank... isn't. Don't worry about this so much because CMU will recalculate your GPA as it sees fit, based on your transcript, so your GPA and rank will be normalized among other applicants.</p>

<p>You should really tell us what college you are applying to in CMU.</p>
