Can I get in??

Okay, I really want to go somewhere out east (I'm from Chicago and go to a public school that's nationally ranked with over 3,000 people enrolled in it), and I wanted to know if I had any possible chance of getting into Smith. I'm currently a sophmore, but I just wanted to know if I stayed on the same track I'm currently on, would I be accepted?

GPA: 3.85
Already took one AP course- AP World History (got a 3 on the exam)- taking 3 honors courses this year including AP Gov and took 2 last year...
In all my four years, I will take approx. 8 if things work out the way planned.

I play tennis- JV since freshman year (reallllllly hard to make it onto JV as a freshman and sophmore for my high school)

am involved in key club, literary magazine, first class, youth ambassadors, people to people, tutoring, volunteering at library, and fyi leader and gym leader...

will have a good essay and hopefully good test scores and a better GPA by junior year. I really want to apply ED, but.....I'm scared i'm not smart enough. WHat are your opinions??

Celiabones, it's really too early to tell. As long as you focus on challenging yourself and doing well, you will have multiple options senior year.

You've made a good start, but I wouldn't start stressing about getting in ED in your sophomore year though, it's way, way too soon to be that specific. Enjoy your high school years, they'll be over way too soon.
