I'm an international student with a straight A record from one of Sweden's most acclaimed high schools (Top 5 hardest HS program to get accepted to nationwide). I've got a 1900 SAT score: 640 M, 660 V, 600 W.

The first question is, is it possible for me to get accepted to Smeal with these scores and grades? I hope I can because it feels like kind of a safety for me? Taking the ACT in october and hoping for a 30+ score.

Secondly, with an undergrad business education from Penn State's Smeal is it possible to attend an Ivy-League MBA program or comperable (Georgetown etc.) or do you have to go Ivy all the way for a top end MBA?

Thank you so much in advance and if you need more information to judge my chances don't hesitate to ask!

You shouldn't have any trouble getting in to Smeal.

For MBA admission, you need good post-graduate work experience. Obviously, the better the undergraduate program, the easier it is to get good work experience. However, MBA students come from all sorts of educational backgrounds (most come from very good institutions though).

And Smeal would be ranked a prestigeless institution and doesn't carry any value at all in later life?

My apologies if I came off as arrogant or mean (in regards to my previous post). Didn't mean to at all. My, badly emphasized, point was: Would I be able to get good post-bachelor work experience with a degree from Smeal or would I be forced to look for work in less popular areas. Also, would I have a shot at Schreyers Honors College with my stats posted above? Any answer is much appriciated!

Thanks.

Schreyer (SHC) looks at more than just your test scores, but your SAT seems on the low side. According to the SHC brochure, the middle 50% for the SAT (M&V) is 1360-1470
